The K Series is a fiber laser tube cutting machine built around a rotating chuck, available in three chuck sizes: φ20-φ120 mm, φ20-φ160 mm and φ20-φ240 mm. Fiber laser power runs from 1500W to 30000W, tube feeding length is 6000 mm, and the Weihong and FSCUT control systems drive the machine with 0.05 mm position accuracy and 0.03 mm reposition accuracy on the X and Y axes. The W axis rotates the tube at up to 80 r/min, so round, square, rectangular and oval sections are cut in one setup rather than in several operations.

The machine is built for tube, not plate: round tubes, square tubes, rectangular tubes and oval tubes in carbon steel and stainless steel. Because the chuck rotates the workpiece, mitres, holes and end cuts on a closed profile are produced in a single pass with the tube clamped once.

The maximum blanking length of the tube is 1500 mm or 3500 mm depending on the configuration, and a single tube can weigh up to 30 kg per metre, which covers the standard stock lengths used in furniture, frame and structural work. The three chuck sizes share the same machine concept, control system and accuracy figures; only the chuck diameter changes. Loading is available as a semi-automatic or a fully automatic system, so the same machine can start as a manually loaded tube cutter and grow into an automated cell.
